Breathe – Be Limitless

If you tend to eat a lot of processed food, sugar, refined or fried foods, you’re left with acidic waste, which over time will lead to chronic inflammation, leave your immune system weakened and prone to disease.

The great news is, our organs are heroes at neutralising and eliminating acid waste but like any system, it can get overwhelmed, especially when it has to work constantly without respite. Know the feeling, right?

Everything has a limit before it starts to falter.

Self-Discovery

Did you know, the ONLY thing holding you back is YOU?

Did you know? Our brains download 2 MILLION bits of information PER SECOND!! Yes per second. Wow!

Your mindset is everything & how you overcome that is only down to you as no one else can really do it for you. But when we become stuck in the rut of life at 100mph, we tend to be focusing on the wrong things. Only by changing the state of mind, can we change our behaviours, when we change the behaviours, we can change our state of mind.

You can overcome any obstacle in your life, by re-programming your mind.

Behaviour = state of mind = changing your filters = changes in your projections.

And when you master changing your projections, only then do you notice a total change of RESULTS!

The only thing keeping you from having what you want, the happiness, life, and fulfilment you desire, are emotional and spiritual blockages. Your emotional state determines  what you are capable of thinking, doing, and becoming. How you think & feel is deeply connected to the Internal representations our mind absorbs. Emotional states create outcomes. Ask yourself if your internal representations are empowering you or are they debilitating you? If you are happy in your mind, your soul will reflect that, however a depressed person will constantly be struggling with themselves and hence experience the reflection of that in their lives. Someone happy and motivated will produce the opposite results of the depressed person.

Did you know you can create literally anything you want? However, the key to that is healing those emotional and spiritual blockages. In order to become a master of your emotions, you must remove those things which are holding you back. These emotions however are usually on autopilot without your conscious control. Automatic emotional patterns ingrained into your system must be erased or reprogramed so you once again gain control over yourself. Break those old repetitive old habits & master the emotional freedom!

Intermittent Hypoxia Training

Breath retention (holding your breath) reduces the bodies oxygen levels, which then increases our CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) levels, allowing for oxygen efficiency in the entire body. CO2 is made up of Carbon and Oxygen molecules, and when you hold your breath OUT, you lower the Oxygen levels in your body while you increase the CO2 levels. Co2 will then act as a “Super” molecule that will take oxygen cells out of the bloodstream and into our tissues/muscles…this process helps the body reduce inflammation. If we train our body to increase Co2 tolerance, we allow it to heal on its own, just as Mother Nature intended! Our bodies are truly designed for optimal health….it’s down to US to fuel it correctly.

Benefits of Intermittent Hypoxia?

Intermittent Hypoxia Training (IHT) refers to the exposure to low oxygen levels for short periods, followed by periods of normal oxygen levels. This method has been studied in many fields, including sports, medicine, and cognitive health. for its many potential health benefits.

Do you know our bodies know EXACTLY how to operate, in its entirety, to HEAL or DESTROY. If we only trusted our bodies, that it knows what to do, given the right tools to perform with added high functionality, wouldn’t we then feed it more highly vibrationally?

When we become conscious of WHY, we also need to understand the HOW and this is also by another genius effect our bodies produce, given the right fuel.

The Bohr effect is a physiological phenomenon that describes how the affinity of hemoglobin for oxygen changes in response to varying levels of carbon dioxide and pH in the blood. This effect is crucial for efficient oxygen transport and release in the body.

Simply Put;

– High Carbon Dioxide Levels: When the concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood is high (as it often is in active tissues), it leads to the production of carbonic acid, which lowers the blood pH (making it more acidic).

– Reduced Oxygen Affinity: The lower pH and higher carbon dioxide levels cause hemoglobin to release oxygen more readily. This is beneficial because it allows more oxygen to be delivered to the tissues that need it most.

– Increased Oxygen Affinity in the Lungs: Conversely, in the lungs where carbon dioxide levels are lower and the pH is higher (more alkaline), hemoglobin’s affinity for oxygen increases, enabling it to pick up oxygen efficiently.

In essence, the Bohr effect ensures that hemoglobin releases oxygen where it is most needed (in tissues with high carbon dioxide levels) and picks up oxygen where it is most available (in the lungs).

So now we understand the EFFECTS lets dive into the techniques used to achieve that optimal function.

For the intrigued brain cells that instinctively want to explore this further, we can dive a bit deeper into the Bohr effect. (Or skip straight to the next section if you’re not a fellow science nerd) Hemoglobin is a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body and brings carbon dioxide back to the lungs to be exhaled. The Bohr effect describes how hemoglobin’s oxygen-binding affinity is inversely related to the acidity (pH) and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood.

How It Works:

1. In Active Tissues:

– High Carbon Dioxide Production: Active tissues produce more carbon dioxide (CO₂) as a byproduct of metabolism.

-Formation of Carbonic Acid: CO₂ diffuses into red blood cells and reacts with water to form carbonic acid (H₂CO₃), which quickly dissociates into bicarbonate (HCO₃⁻) and hydrogen ions (H⁺).

– Lower pH (More Acidic): The increase in hydrogen ions reduces the pH of the blood.

– Reduced Oxygen Affinity: The lower pH and increased CO₂ levels cause a conformational change in hemoglobin, reducing its affinity for oxygen. This prompts hemoglobin to release more oxygen, which is then used by the active tissues.

2. In the Lungs:

– Lower Carbon Dioxide Levels: In the lungs, CO₂ is exhaled, leading to lower CO₂ concentrations in the blood.

– Higher pH (More Alkaline): The decrease in CO₂ leads to a higher pH.

– Increased Oxygen Affinity The higher pH and lower CO₂ levels cause hemoglobin to change shape again, increasing its affinity for oxygen. This allows hemoglobin to pick up more oxygen in the lungs.

Summary:

The Bohr effect is essential for efficient oxygen delivery and carbon dioxide removal. It ensures that:

– Oxygen is released in tissues where it is most needed (high CO₂, low pH).

– Oxygen is efficiently loaded onto hemoglobin in the lungs (low CO₂, high pH).

Conclusion

This dynamic adjustment helps to optimize the body’s oxygen supply and carbon dioxide removal, which is crucial for maintaining cellular functions and overall homeostasis. (Balance)

So now we understand the EFFECT, lets dive into the techniques used to achieve that optimal function.

Intermittent hypoxia (IH) involves alternating between periods of low-oxygen and normal-oxygen conditions. This technique has several potential benefits, including:
1. Boosts the immune system: IH can enhance immune function, helping the body fight off infections more effectively.
2. Increases red blood cell count: By exposing the body to low-oxygen conditions, IH stimulates the production of red blood cells, improving oxygen delivery to tissues.
3. Improves aerobic exercise performance: IH can enhance endurance and stamina by making the body more efficient at utilizing oxygen.
4. Increases blood flow: IH can promote better circulation, which can aid in muscle recovery and overall cardiovascular health.
5. Detoxification: IH may help in the detoxification process by improving metabolic functions.

well worth the effort for your overall health and well-being.

Have you tried focusing on nasal breathing before? It can make a surprising difference!

Breathing Consciously

Did you know?

Co2 (Carbon Dioxide) & N.O ( Nitric Oxide)  signals the blood to know where to deliver the O2 (oxygen) via the Bohr Effect….. (The Bohr effect describes red blood cells’ ability to adapt to changes in the biochemical environment, maximizing haemoglobin-oxygen binding capacity in the lungs, while simultaneously optimizing oxygen delivery to tissues with the greatest demand)

In layman’s terms…. Dipping the tea bag doesn’t infuse the tea…. you have to allow it to steep for the full flavour…

When we don’t breathe correctly, we don’t infuse the body with the correct ratio of O2 & CO2 and our bodies require both, to function at optimal levels for our organs, cells & tissue to be at their optimal functionality to improve your health, immune system & wellbeing.

It really IS that simple!

Conscious breathing is vital. And when you focus on conscious breathing, you aren’t stressing about ANYTHING else, as your focus is on the breath. The impact of creating heart & mind coherence, unlocks your abilities to create a much healthier, happier lifestyle for yourself and definitely a much calmer one too….who needs stress… it is literally a killer.

Are you breathing consciously?

90% of us aren’t and therefore aren’t accessing the dynamic healing effects that breathing correctly can incur to receive the many health benefits.

Benefits of Nasal Breathing

Benefits of Nasal Breathing Vs Mouth Breathing:

Nasal breathing offers several significant benefits compared to mouth breathing. Here’s a rundown of why breathing through your nose is generally considered more advantageous:

1. Filtration and Air Quality: The nose has tiny hairs and mucous membranes that filter out dust, allergens, and other particles from the air, ensuring that cleaner air reaches your lungs. Mouth breathing bypasses this natural filtration system.

2. Humidification and Temperature Regulation: The nasal passages humidify and warm the air before it reaches the lungs, which can help prevent respiratory issues and irritation, especially in cold or dry environments.

3. Nitric Oxide Production: The nose produces nitric oxide, a gas that has several important functions, including improving oxygen absorption and blood circulation. This gas is not produced when breathing through the mouth.

4. Diaphragmatic Breathing: Nasal breathing promotes deeper, more diaphragmatic breathing, which can enhance lung capacity and oxygen exchange. Mouth breathing often leads to more shallow chest breathing.

5. Optimal Oxygen Delivery: Breathing through the nose ensures a better balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the blood, which can improve overall oxygen delivery to tissues and organs.

6.Improved Sleep Quality: Nasal breathing can reduce the risk of sleep apnea and snoring, leading to better sleep quality and overall health. Mouth breathing during sleep can cause dryness, irritation, and disrupted sleep patterns.

7. Enhanced Immune Function: The filtration and humidification processes of nasal breathing help protect the respiratory tract from infections, contributing to stronger immune defenses.

8. Oral Health: Mouth breathing can lead to dry mouth, which increases the risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath. Nasal breathing helps maintain better oral hygiene and moisture.

9.Stress Reduction: Nasal breathing is often slower and more controlled, which can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress levels.

10. Postural Benefits: Nasal breathing encourages proper tongue posture and jaw alignment, which can positively impact overall posture and prevent issues related to mouth breathing, such as dental malocclusions and facial deformities.

Switching to nasal breathing can take some practice, especially if you’re used to mouth breathing. But the benefits can be well worth the effort for your overall health and well-being.

Breathing Patterns, or a Mini Guide to Soma Breath Techniques

The breath is the only bodily function that can be consciously controlled or left to be unconscious and involuntary. So when we take conscious control, we can also take control of other bodily functions that we wrongly believe we have no control over. Things like natural immunity, regulating core temperature, improving digestive systems and more.

Learning to self-regulate should be taught in schools in my opinion!

There are 2 questions you can ask yourself to determine whether you are negatively stressed:

  • Are you waking up each day feeling ready to do a hard day’s work? Or are you just doing it because you have to?
  • Are you waking up feeling compassionate towards everyone? Or are you just faking it to fit in?

What we now know is that certain breathing practises are the off-switch for stress. Through breath control techniques it is possible to control the energy in our body. After all, Pranayama means energy control.

Who doesn’t need more of that?

Who doesn’t need more of that?

Breathing Patterns, Heart Mind Coherence and Self Immunity

The HeartMath Institute explains what heart coherence is:

“From a physics perspective, when we are in a coherent state, virtually no energy is wasted because our systems are performing optimally and there is synchronization between heart rhythms, the respiratory system, blood-pressure rhythms, etc.”

There are countless studies that confirm the importance and power of heart coherence: when you create this state for yourself, your body and mind function at their peak capacity as your heart beats at its optimum level.

What’s more, it has been found that the best way to achieve heart coherence is through rhythmic breathing and by creating feelings of gratitude (“The Science Of HeartMath” n. d.).
